Oxygen in compressed air permeates through the wall of the tire, thus reducing the tire's inflation pressure. During its journey through the tire wall, oxygen oxidizes the rubber compounds in the tire, causing under-inflation and deterioration of the rubber. Dry nitrogen will maintain proper inflation pressure and will prevent auto-ignition, will not corrode rims, extends valve core life, and will help the tire to run cooler.
Nitrogen is a kind of inert gas which have stable chemical and physical specialty. Nitrogen in tire will avoid oxidation of tire and rim, can not be easily affected by the changing of temperature, with only 1/5 noise conductivity compare to ordinary air. So that using nitrogen as the gas in tire will build a more comfortable driving life.
The nitrogen was already been used on the tires of aircraft 20 years ago for extending the tires life and performance. Nowadays, nitrogen become more and more popular for formula cars, racing cars, saloon cars, off road heavy duty trucks and also for small vehicles, in order to maintain the high speed and heavy duty transportation performance.
